Born into an artistic family, Angel was weaned on all things creative. With a glass fusion artist and jeweler for a mother, a musician for a father and an illustrator for a younger sister, she was constantly surrounded by a multitude of creative processes. With the exception of some college coursework in the arts, Angel is a self-taught artist and has held many creative positions in her professional life, most recently as art director for a website design and marketing company.

In the late 90's, Angel was asked by friends to paint a mural for their son. One thing led to another, and before she knew which end was up, Larcom Studios was born. Because her interests and abilities are diverse, Angel has implemented a wide range of projects, from commercial interior design and large-scale exterior murals to company branding, graphics, web design and commissioned fine art.

She says she is in "a constant state of hyper-creativity".
